Everton transfer target Sean Davis suffered a twisted knee
during Fulham's pre-season friendly against Austrian outfit ASK
Voitsberg on Wednesday.
Davis came on after the interval, but was soon substituted
following a clash with an opponent.
A scan on the 23-year-old's knee will be required, although
Fulham are hoping that the problem is not too serious.
"He went in for a sliding tackle and twisted his
knee," said the Cottagers' assistant manager Steve
"The pitch was a bit greasy after the rain we had earlier
and as a result the surface was playing very fast. As Sean went in
for a sliding tackle, their player collided with his leading leg
and jarred his knee.
"He stood up, was able to put weight on it and jog around
but it was too painful to continue so we took him off as a
precaution. Hopefully no serious damage has been done."
Moyes has made Davis his number one priority this summer and had
an undisclosed bid rejected out of hand by Fulham officials, who
want a fee of £7m for the former England U-21
