Switzerland v Croatia 13/06/2004 17:00
England and France's hopes of qualifying from Group A were given a boost as underdogs Switzerland and Croatia played out a dull stalemate.
Amidst soaring temperatures in Leiria, both teams contributed to a niggly encounter, which will go down as being one of the tournament's least memorable games.
The Swiss had midfielder Johann Vogel sent off for two bookable offences, while Croatia has no fewer than five players cautioned during the 90 minutes.

Croatia dominated the game for large spells but were unable to open up a stubborn Swiss defence, well marshalled by Murat Yakin and Patrick Müller.
However, Switzerland could have snatched the game late on when Benjamin Huggel fired wide.
The Croats best chance came in the 39th minute when Ivica Olic headed against the bar, but in truth, this was a game that neither side deserved to win.
