West Ham United v Everton

Everton's Under-21s are after revenge when they head to West Ham on Friday.

Earlier this season, the Blues youngsters were on the wrong end of a 5-1 reverse at Finch Farm when the Hammers were rampant.

But since then Alan Stubbs' charges have found their feet in the newly formed U21 system, recording some good results along the way.

"I am hoping it will be a very different game on Friday," Stubbs told evertontv.

"They were the better team that day, 5-1 probably flattered them but they were worthy winners. Everything went right for them, everything they hit flew in the top corner.

"We have had a few positive results since then and we have looked a lot more solid as a team."

Friday evening's game takes place less than 48 hours before the Merseyside derby, meaning Stubbs is unlikely to be able to call on some of the more senior players he has used in recent weeks.

Nevertheless, he will demand the same high standards from whichever 11 players pull on the shirt.

"We will probably be young on Friday with the derby on Sunday so it's a chance for a couple of young lads to step up to the plate," continued Stubbs.

"I will be expecting the same commitment by everyone and we will look to come away from the with a result." will bring you live updates from the game, which takes place at Grays Athletic, on Friday evening. Kick off is 7pm.
