Chelsea U18s 0-1 Everton U18s
George Waring's early goal was enough to end a run of three games without a win as Everton Under-18s overcame Chelsea on Saturday.
The striker's 10th-minute effort proved the difference on a wet and windy morning at the Londoners' Cobham training ground - the same venue on which the Club's Under-21s also recorded a 1-0 victory on Monday.
The Toffees started the brighter and duly took the lead when Waring capitalised on Isak Ssewankembo's inability to clear a low cross to sweep past goalkeeper Ben Killip.
Chelsea responded with a burst of possession and might have hit back immediately, only for the threatening Ambrose Gnahore to shoot wide twice in quick succession.
Everton had their chances too, but found Killip in fine fettle, the stopper refusing to let the visitors double their lead.
It mattered little though, as Kevin Sheedy's side held on to take three valuable points.
The young Blues' next game will be an FA Youth Cup quarter-final against Norwich at Goodison Park on Friday 5 April.
