Everton's young side battled against the elements to beat Stoke 1-0 on Saturday.
Daniel Murphy broke the deadlock with the only goal of the game just before half time.
The 17-year-old headed home a free-kick which skimmed under the crossbar to secure three points for the Blues youngsters.
Immediately after the goal Karl Sheppard had a great chance to double the lead but his shot hit the post.
Straight after the break, the visitors had a goal disallowed as the howling winds continued, making play near-impossible at times.
Coach Neil Dewsnip said his side did well despite the wintery conditions.
"It was a horrible day for quality football," he said. "We huffed and puffed but it was very difficult to play anything.
"Despite the terrible conditions the positive is we won. We also kept a clean sheet and I am pleased with the lads."
