Tim Howard was the hero as Everton triumphed 4-3 in a sudden death penalty shootout to win the MLS All-Star game.
Howard produced three excellent saves to deny Brad Davis, Davy Arnaud and - decisively - Freddie Ljungberg.
Jo and James Vaughan missed spot kicks for Everton but Leighton Baines, Phil Neville, Joleon Lescott and Jack Rodwell converted theirs.

Earlier, Louis Saha had given Everton the lead after just 12 minutes, Davis then levelled not long after and it remained that way, thanks largely to Howard.
Saha fired in an effort as early as the third minute after collecting a Marouane Fellaini pass, but the shot was just wide of Kasey Keller's goal.
The Toffees, playing in white as both their home and away kits would haver clashed with their opponents' designated jerseys, pushed on again and Tim Cahill shot powerfully at Keller from Osman's cross-field pass.
Everton then took the lead, as Saha capitalised on a dreadful pass from Stuart Holden.
The Frenchman seized upon the ball inside the penalty area and calmly slotted past Keller in the 12th minute.

It was all Everton at this stage and Osman's run forced a corner which Cahill eventually hooked over the bar.
The All-Stars fought back with a deflected Kyle Beckerman shot before equalising in the 25th minute.
Bulky striker Conor Casey outmuscled Baines and Davis tapped in after his cross found it's way to his feet via a sprawling Holden.
Cuauhtemoc Blanco dinked an effort over for the resurgent All-Stars and then Saha tested Keller again from the edge of the box.
Keller's compatriot Howard was soon in action at the other end though, excellently repelling Casey's downward header in the 38th minute.

The All-Stars made four changes at the break but it was their skipper Ljungberg who threatened first, sending a right-foot effort just wide.
There was a surpise just after the hour when Keller came back onto the field after having been replaced at half time. He stepped in for the injured Zach Thornton.
But it was another substitute, Jhon Kennedy Hurtado who headed a presentable chance over midway through the half.
Fellow new man Javier Morales curled a free-kick over on 70 minutes then Landon Donovan hit the post from six yards out with 15 minutes left.
Everton turned to youth and threw on Vaughan, Jose Baxter and James Wallace, but it was previous sub Jo who went close next, nodding a Baines centre over the bar.
Soon Baxter was in the action though as he blocked on his own line from Casey and Howard pulled off another great save to stop Arnaud stealing the glory in added time.
So penalties ensued and Vaughan was wayward with the first spot-kick, and Jo was then denied by Keller before Howard's heroics.
