November opens with an unlucky 1-0 home defeat by big-spending Chelsea but Everton are unable to build on that excellent display in their next match and drop into the bottom three after a 2-1 loss at Blackburn, Radzinski heading the Blues' goal.
However, Everton players shine in this month's round of international fixtures, McFadden scoring Scotland's winner in the first leg of their EURO 2004 qualifying play-off against Holland, and Rooney claiming another goal for his country as England lose 3-2 to a Denmark side inspired by Thomas Gravesen.

Moyes takes advantage of the international break to take his players to Tenerife and they finally win again on their return to action, Radzinski and Kilbane scoring in a 2-0 defeat of Wolves.
However, the Blues end the month back in the bottom three after losing by the same scoreline at Bolton. It is an unhappy month for Ferguson, meanwhile, who is banished from Bellefield after a disagreement with manager Moyes.
STAT ATTACK - NOVEMBER
- Kevin Kilbane scored his first goal in the game against Wolves, while Tomasz Radzinski netted his first Everton goal from outside the box.
