Everton submit a new 5-year contract offer to Wayne Rooney's agent Paul Stretford, to try and secure his future. One player who looks as if he may be on his way, however, is Tomasz Radzinski, who turns down a three-year deal with the club.
The Blues confirm that a bid has been lodged with Birmingham City for Robbie Savage. Steve Bruce and the Birmingham board move swiftly to reject it and the Welshman signs a new contract at St. Andrew's days later.
