Greece v Spain 16/06/2004 17:00

Greece could be the surprise package to top Group A after they held Spain to a 1-1 draw in Porto.

However, it will be the Spanish who will be wondering how they let this one get away, as victory seemed to be heading their way.

After dominating the first half they went into the break 1-0 in front thanks to Morientes' strike mid-way through the first half.

Raul of Spain battles with Theodoros Zagorakis of Greece.

They looked to be coasting after the restart until the 66th minute when Tsiartas's sublime crossfield ball picked out Charisteas and he rifled homethe equaliser.

Spain pressed to the end, going close through Baraja and Valeron, but could not find a way through the commanding presence of Dellas in the Greece defence.

The draw leaves Group A wide open with Spain and Greece level on four points going into the final game.
