Denmark v Holland 26/06/2004 19:45
Holland qualified for the Semi-Finals of EURO 2004 after a tense penalty shootout.
The Dutch started the game much the brighter and brought some great saves out of Andreas Isaksson who denied Arjen Robben, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Philip Cocu in the first 30 minutes.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic had a great chance to give Sweden the lead on 55 minutes but his close range shot was cleared off the line by Philip Cocu.

For most of the match neither side took the advantage and were giving away possession too easily, which led to extra-time.
Both teams had their best chances in the added period. Robben hit the post in the third minute while Henrik Larsson and Freddie Ljungberg both hit the frame of Edwin van Der Sar's goal in the second half of extra-time.
The entire 120 minutes could not separate the two sides so the game went to penalties.
Despite Cocu hitting the outside of the post, Sweden's Ibrahimovic and Olof Mellberg missed their spot-kicks to give Holland a 5-4 win and a place in the Semi-Finals.
