However, the month ends on a low when Jon Stead's late goal wraps up the points for Blackburn Rovers at Goodison Park, as Moyes' men slip to 14th in the Premiership table.

STAT ATTACK - APRIL

• Alan Shearer takes his total to 17 against Everton in the league, equalling Charlie Buchan's record.
  
• Joseph Yobo scores his first Premiership goal and Thomas Gravesen scores his first away goal in 116 top-flight games.
  
• Also, the game against Spurs was only the second time three defenders had scored in an Everton fixture. The first was when the Blues beat Chelsea 6-0 in 1978.
