November

Benifca's visit to Goodison on Bonfire night started November for the Blues.

Everton's attempts to move closer to qualification from Europa League Group I ended in defeat though as the Blues went down 2-0 to their Portuguese rivals.

Louis Saha and Dan Gosling soon put the Club back on the winning track just three days later with a 2-1 victory at West Ham.

As the long term injuries continued to battle back to fitness, the Blues were left disappointed with the run of results on November.

Losses against Manchester United (3-0), Hull (3-2) and in the Merseyside derby (2-0) meant it wasn't the best of months.

The good news though was Steven Pienaar's return from knee injury.

The South African made his long awaited return in the encounter with Hull at the KC Stadium to boost the squad.

November also saw the Government reject the Blues plans to build a new home in Kirkby with the Club now looking at alternative sites across Liverpool.

But the story that hit the headlines most was Mikel Arteta's exclusive interview with evertonTV.

The Spaniard spoke to the Club from his home in San Sebastian as he recovered from a further set back with his knee injury.

Boosting every Everton fan was the news Arteta wanted to see out his career with the Blues.

Meanwhile Everton Ladies manager Mo Marley was short listed for the Performance Development Coach of the Year in the 2009 UK Coaching Awards.

The nod came as the Blues ladies kept up their winning run in November taking their tally of consecutive victories to 11.
