Players' Player of the Season
Leighton Baines' claiming of the Players' Player Award showed his growing stature both on and off the field.
After another superbly consistent season, Baines was nominated by his teammates for the award.
The left-back has built on last season's efforts and continued to offer not just a sound defensive presence, but a potent attacking threat.
Fabio Capello thought so too, and handed him is first England cap earlier this year. The World Cup remains a possibility for the ex-Wigan man.
He told evertontv: ""It means an awful lot to get recognition from your teammates. I have managed to be out there playing most weeks and that plays as big a part as anything else.
"There's always room for improvement and I've been trying to concentrate on that."
Skipper Neville added: "He has been consistently our best player all season, played in nearly every game and grown in confidence. If anyone deserves to be on the plane to South Africa - it's him."
