The second half followed the same patter before the deadlock was broken when Walter Abbott shot a low drive from the edge of the box.

Harold Hardman scored a second to take the Blues to the FA Cup Final where they would face Newcastle.

Everton went on to win the final 1-0 at Crystal Palace.
