Iain Turner was born in Stirling ON THIS DAY in 1984.
The highly rated young goalkeeper arrived at Goodison Park in January 2003 in a £50,000 deal from Stirling Albion.
Coveted by a number of Premiership clubs including Tottenham and Charlton after impressing for the Scottish Division Three side, David Moyes swooped to sign Iain after he impressed during a three-day trial.
Capped at Under-16 and Under-18 level by Scotland, Iain was also called up for the Scotland Under-21 squad for the first time in December 2002.
He has done extremely well since arriving at Everton and made his debut as a second half substitute in the 3-0 friendly win over Bologna in August 2003.
Both Nigel Martyn and Richard Wright have said that the youngster has a very bright future ahead of him.
