T.Wylie became the first Everton player to score as many as four goals in one League match ON THIS DAY in 1890.

The Blues ran out 6-2 winners as they played Derby County at the Racecourse Ground.

Everton's other goals were scored by A.Brady and F.Geary.

It was only Wylie's second game for the club.

He went on to make 20 appearances scoring five goals!


Five different players got on the scoresheet for Everton ON THIS DAY in 1975.

The Blues beat Birmingham City 5-2 in front of a 20,188 strong crowd at Goodison.

Bob Latchford, Gary Jones, Martin Dobson, Bryan Hamilton and George Telfer all scored for the Toffees on the day.
