Everton beat Bury 6-0 ON THIS DAY in 1912.
The Blues had drawn 1-1 at home with Bury five days earlier in this FA Cup Second Round tie.
Bury decided, however, to play the replay at Goodison once more in order to take a bigger share of the gate receipts.
Everton made no mistake second time around, with T. Browell scoring four and W. Davidson and Frank Jefferis adding the others in a one-sided win.
Everton beat Liverpool 3-1 ON THIS DAY in 1964.
A crowd of 66,515 turned up at Goodison Park to see the Blues gain revenge for their 2-1 defeat at Anfield earlier in the season.
A Roy Vernon double and a single strike from Roy Vernon gave the Blues the win.
