Fan of the Year

The 2010 Fan of the Year is James Lyon.

James is the secretary of the Rice Lane Supporters' Club and his tireless work in running this thriving branch hasn't been missed by the Club.

He was delighted to receive his award from John Heitinga and Diniyar Bilyaletdinov.

"It's a family thing," he said of his long-standing affinity with Everton.

"When I was born in 1973 most of the family were reds. It's 80/20 Blue now so we are getting there!"

James went on to thank his friends and family before adding: "It's an honour to get the award and I want to share it with everyone else who plays a part at the Rice Lane supporters' club.

"It was a privilege to share the stage with the players who we watch every week."
