Always the same feeling at this stage of the season. We've started to play well we're in 7th spot and you think, "If only we got off to a better start where would we be?"

In third position, just a few dodgy decisions like the Rodwell red card ( later rescinded) against the RS etc. and home wins against Bolton and QPR would have been a totally different picture.

It's a bugger today really with the Newcastle/Liverpool fixture. I want Newcastle to win to stay above Liverpool, but at the same time, it puts us in a more difficult position to grab sixth. Anyone know what Newcastle's run-in is? Apart from us on the last day of course....

I think if we had had a better start, we would have had to have played at a higher tempo for longer periods earlier in the season, and i think the squad would be feeling jaded at this point rather than playing with the energy we have right now. Man City prime example of that, they have just about run out of steam imo, and have lost the title cos of it (or so it seems)

The strange thing is, when we were Europa league for a few seasons we didn't have this early season syndrome (whatever you want to call it) and that was when we were playing more games.

With the new boys and if we can do a deal with peanuts, surely we are looking good for next year, our first 11 is a cracking team right now, look at the players Stoke have signed and where they have ended this year

as if harry is going to let pienaar go on the cheap.  he knows exactly how pienaar is playing, and I think his price is going to reflect that.

roman pavlychenko was 30 and had 18months left on his contract and went for 8m, i think spurs will be looking for something similar for pienaar.  and something tells me were not going to be the only team in for him in the summer.

Will he want to go anywhere else?? At the end of the day mate, it will be what God decides for him, so who are we to argue with the bigman up stairs?
