i havent been the biggest admirer of Fellaini in all fairness. And to a certain extent im still a bit on the fence about him. but there are signs he`s winning me over. Am i right to still be on the fence with him? Has he turned out to be the player we all hoped he`d be?

I think Felliani has always performed for us the problem was that he has been d!ck around like many other player. Look at the games when he has been the sole DM in the team and he has been excellent.

Too many times was he pushed forward to accommodate others and not performed. He does not make the killer passes but helps keep the ball moving. Also when another DM is picked he gets lost on his responsiblities and also tries to get forward to try and make something happen. If he was left to do his job he does it as good as anyone in the premiership and if playing with the right partner in the middle allows them to get forward and create something.

To me he is the best player we have when playing in the right position and we should build our team around him.

Fellaini is amazing. The one and only Everton player that anyone can say that about.

Fellani is the best player we have by some way - anyone who cannot see it doesnt know anything about football and needs to FO and play badmington.

Fellani would get in most midfields in the premiership.

My only surprise is that Moyes managed to keep him, belive hes on around £75k a week - and why Man U or Chelsea, Arsenal havnt come in for him I don tknow - maybe next season -

I couldn't agree more. It seems like for me he is a solid defensive player and is excellent at holding the ball in midfield winning 90% of air balls. However as you said he does not make those 'killer' passes. It seems to me he is always passing the ball backwards or holding the ball until he looses it. Don't get me wrong he's a solid player but lacks the creativity to see the strikers through on goal.

FELLANI DOESN'T HAVE TO WIN ANYBODY OVER

why should he ?  he's proved, a long time ago, that he is a quality player.  does gerrard, scholes, giggs, etc.... have to prove themselves to anybody ?  no they are proven good players just like fellani is

the only people who still doubt him are just plain dumb or stupid or maybe blind.

fellani had a bit of a bad start to his everton carear in the 08/09 season which was a lot to do with being young and trying to sttle into a new country and a new league.  but mainly to with him being a holding midfielder being played as a second striker by david moyes.  and despite his poor start to his everton carear he still banged in a lot of good goals

in his second season 09/10, and playing in his correct position - defensive midfield, fellani starting showing every evertonian what a quality player he was which at one stage led to david moyes saying ''fellani is the best midfielder in the premier league at the moment''

then came the showboat against man city and craig bellamy and since that moment and that day fellani has been accepted as a quality player.  anybody who still doubts fellani since the ''craig bellamy incident'' is f@cking stupid and doesn't know football

im not saying just because fellani did a showboat means he is brilliant.  but that moment was the turning point in his everton carear

fellani doesn't need to play killer balls and be a creative force.  that's not what he is in the team for and those aren't his strenghs as a player.  that's like saying messi doesn't track back and win enough tackles

fellani does everything that he is asked to done and he does it brilliantly too.  he's is a fantastic athlete and covers lots of ground every game he plays.  he is strong and gives our side a massive physical presence.  he is absolutely brilliant at reading the game, winning the ball and breaking up play.  he has got a good tough, good technique and is comfortable on the ball and he wuins so many headers and is a threat on the opposition goal too.

he's a fantastic player.  i'd say he is the nearest thing to patrick veira but very wasnt as comfortbale on the ball as fellani
