If we play like that every week, we will get into Europe. There are only 9 games of the season to go, and the league is now all that we have to play for, but if we play like that every week that every week this season can still be a season to remember.

5v away games against tough opposition would suggest we may struggle for fifth but with spurs on the slide there is also hope

Its an odd one and only makes all those draws hurt.

That said, the Europa Cup isn't something that prem teams are usually still in at this point in the season (well, not the teams ion the CL pack at any rate) and Spurs and Chelsea have a lot of games to play as a result...maybe the Europa Cup could do us a favour for a change.

Moyes hasn't done well against top teams away from home and will want to put that right.... plus we play Spurs inbetween their two Europa games and after both they and Chelsea have played both home and away ties they then play each other.

I'm not saying we are back in the chase for 4th.... but it we can win the next three games (stoke, a knackered spurs and QPR) we'll be facing Arsenal and who knows... things might have swung around our way a bit!

Optimistic thinking but lets remember we are missing fellaini and pienaar plus just when everton get your hopes up they gets dashed just as quickly

after the FA CUP debarcle, all Moyes can do to slightly address that is win EVERY game until the end of the season, if we dont do that he has failed us this season imo.

to expect everton to play like that every single week is just setting unrealistic expectations.  even utd couldn't be expected to play at thier very best every single week

Probably difficult to play at that level every week but there's no excuse for going out in any game with a half-hearted, careless, lazy attitude that they showed against Wigan, and tend to do quite often against lower teams. Moyes should have them bouncing off the walls in the dressing room and go out and tear in to teams. Instead we let these crap teams come on to us. We should be putting them to the sword from the first minute. There's no shortage of ability in the squad - the main problems this season have been with a) attitude and b) an inability to make tactical changes when things aren't going well.

i think it would be difficult to play at that tempo every week tbh, more than anything.

However, if we put in shifts like that against Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool, then there is no reason not to be in the mix.

to make up for the fa cup mess up mate, we need to be going into the last couple of games with every chance of getting fourth. if we arn't, its been a complete balls up on Moyes part imo.

We need to win all our home games now and beat spurs and th Rs away which is possible, then who knows. Next up Stoke, will be difficult, but need to get behind the team just like we did Saturday big time.
