The persecution of the catholic religion

Why is the media and everyone other than practising Catholics for that matter hell bent on slagging this religion off at every opportunity?

So there are no muslim, protestant and whatever other religion with paedos who have never covered any wrong doings up in thier entire histoy? The way it seems every other religion is morally perfect bar the Catholic one.

You don't see knoxy etc lambasting his own religions paedophile laden vicarages or would he nor would the uk media attempt to upset the muslim religion so why is it so fashionable and the in thing to continuously slate the catholic one?

I'm meant to be a roman catholic.... but am largely of the opinion that anyone who is seriously religious should be culled for the greater good of mankind. So... its fair to say I'm not exactly orthodox.

My school tried their best to brainwash me but I wasn't having any of it its a load of_shite used in the old times as a deterent and to control people hence the 10 commandments_bollocks.

It just makes me curious that why the catholic church and to a degree the jews have a underlying crusade against them by the rest of the world.

religion the cause of all wars...since time began..

    they probably hate catholicism because

    1. it' recognised as the "main religion" ?
    2. Catholic church..richest business in the world.....

I suppose you could argue that if you were against christianity...then your number one poster child target would be catholosism as its the more extreme version of it.

Regarding the Jews. I'm not saying that every action has an equal and opposite reaction, that would be to say that the Germans didn't go a bit OTT. But there is no smoke without fire.

Many, many reasons. They've more than earned their reputations as Jews though, even today. Not that the rest of the world is any better, the Jews are just good with money, which pisses the people of whichever country they're living in, off.

Lets be fair.... there is getting good with money.... then there is the colossal concentration of wealth that mass murder creates.....well....after the dust has settle ....and the swiss bank accounts of the dead have been located..... and governments have intervened to ensure that the swiss banks handed over the money to its rightful heirs

The title of this thread is quite clear- we are supposed to be persecuting catholics, not jews. People who want to persecute jews should start a new thread about that, to avoid being accused of ant-semitism.

As if any of it has anything to do with religion anyway!

One day, a scorpion looked around at the mountain where he lived and decided that he wanted a change. So he set out on a journey through the forests and hills. He climbed over rocks and under vines and kept going until he reached a river.
The river was wide and swift, and the scorpion stopped to reconsider the situation. He couldn't see any way across. So he ran upriver and then checked downriver, all the while thinking that he might have to turn back.

Suddenly, he saw a frog sitting in the rushes by the bank of the stream on the other side of the river. He decided to ask the frog for help getting across the stream.

"Hellooo Mr. Frog!" called the scorpion across the water, "Would you be so kind as to give me a ride on your back across the river?"

"Well now, Mr. Scorpion! How do I know that if I try to help you, you wont try to kill me?" asked the frog hesitantly.

"Because," the scorpion replied, "If I try to kill you, then I would die too, for you see I cannot swim!"

Now this seemed to make sense to the frog. But he asked. "What about when I get close to the bank? You could still try to kill me and get back to the shore!"

"This is true," agreed the scorpion, "But then I wouldn't be able to get to the other side of the river!"

"Alright then...how do I know you wont just wait till we get to the other side and THEN kill me?" said the frog.

"Ahh...," crooned the scorpion, "Because you see, once you've taken me to the other side of this river, I will be so grateful for your help, that it would hardly be fair to reward you with death, now would it?!"

So the frog agreed to take the scorpion across the river. He swam over to the bank and settled himself near the mud to pick up his passenger. The scorpion crawled onto the frog's back, his sharp claws prickling into the frog's soft hide, and the frog slid into the river. The muddy water swirled around them, but the frog stayed near the surface so the scorpion would not drown. He kicked strongly through the first half of the stream, his flippers paddling wildly against the current.

Halfway across the river, the frog suddenly felt a sharp sting in his back and, out of the corner of his eye, saw the scorpion remove his stinger from the frog's back. A deadening numbness began to creep into his limbs.

"You fool!" croaked the frog, "Now we shall both die! Why on earth did you do that?"

The scorpion shrugged, and did a little jig on the drownings frog's back.

"I could not help myself. It is my nature."

Then they both sank into the muddy waters of the swiftly flowing river.

Self destruction, "Its my Nature", said the Scorpion...
