I kind of disagree. Arsenal are in mess, Liverpool are unconvincing. Who knows what will happen at Chelsea.

It appears as though there was about 10 million that went unspent in the last window and Fellaini you would imagine will be sold in the summer.

That is more Money than Moyes has ever seen. Heitinga will probably go too.

The thing with Moyes is much as he doesn't always do what you'd like him to do, he also doesn't listen to the press. After being robbed by Collina and the CL dream was in tatters, every man and his dog was saying he'd taken us as far as he could and that it was time to leave.

He has the best squad he's had pretty much. He's about to get more money than ever before too. Granted there is more stress on it than ever before but new signings and winning a few games solves that. New 5 year deal and throw everything at the domestic cups should deliver one you'd think.

But mainly, I'm not sure he can stand not winning anything here while other lesser clubs have. The league plaudits are one thing, one thing no one in his position can point to....but he needs to win something and he deserves to.

    It was a disgrace.

And to be honest, the financial fair play rules won't have a dissimilar effect either.

'Money can't always buy success - if it did Chelsea would always be top, at the end of the day it is the team '

it usually does. when did chelski last win the league? when did they last finish outside the top 4? same goes for manu and manc. manc were a yoyo side. often swinging from epl to championship. think they will finish in the championship this year?

    whats made the difference?

    its money.

I'm pleased with this sensible discussion. I suppose I just feel that their are plenty of other managers who could do just as much given the chance at a wonderful club like ours. Men who might also have the balls to win a big game when it comes around. If we had a new manager I would at least have the hope we might win something one day. There is no hope under Moyes, he has proven himself in his eleven years to be a good manager but he is not a winner, he is afraid to win.

Main reason for Moyes to stay is the new TV deal. I cannot think of anyone I would trust with the money we're getting from this more than him.
We can clear our debts and give Moyes enough to compete with those that will still spend 5 times as much. A lesser manager wills imply make that extra revenue disapear and give us a squad of fillers.

how much of the youth players sold for mega bucks, did moyesy have a hand in developing them ?? Moyes has been hyped by the media in every aspect a manager, he's a great man manager, he's a great tactician, done great developing the youth, eye for a bargain. is he all that ?? NO
Just because you end the season well(not this year) & turn some underperforming player into a average player don't make you great.

    MOYES OUT !!

It's not that he is afraid to win, he is afraid of losing - people who are scared of losing by nature are not risk takers, and if you don't take risks and don't gamble - you never win!
