    there was only one reason:

    1)combining neville and osman in centre mid

    it simply does not work.  we tried it away to southampton and they ran rings around us.  neville is 36 and quite frankly ****.  most importnantly though he's not comfortable on the ball.  ossie is so light weight that he needs someone like felli or gibson with him to take the burden off.   if we would have done just one thing as simply as start gibson instead of neville we'd be in the semi finals now i guarantee it
