    thought 125m sounded steep at first......but when you hear the argument about how much tv money is coming over the next 5 years, then as a businessman ( and thats what kenwright is), he'd be silly to sell up for less.......and I'm not a kenwright fan, just saying business is business no?....

    well, we'd have to get abar £500 million together, then we'd have enough for a shiny new ground,

    say 40,000 fans

    would work out at £12500 each

    not bad like, we'd all get a decent spec seat every home game too like and free parking

    Tony.... I think we've both done this to death.... And by that I mean I doubt there is a single aspect of either of our views on this subject that either of us aren't fully aware of now....and neither is anyone else on here.....so I'm happy to knock these conversations of the head going forward.

    You want a new owner.... there are plenty our their that did, blackburn, portsmouth, more than once, reading who have all wanted the same. I don't blame you for wanting a new owners for Everton. Jesus, its been_shit for the fans far too long now, I do agree.

    But I'm not going to feel ashamed for noticing that no other club spending a similar amount of money as Everton.... has done better than than Moyes with Kenwright behind him. Or that changes of ownership working out in the fans favour are far and away in the minority of instances.

    As for Collymore, I didn't listen to it so excuse me if I'm way off the mark here. But going from people have posted. He used his footballing knowledge to say that Everton's main shareholders want £125 million for the club..... and that Everton have done very well in the last decade and the fan should appreciate the job that has been done on a shoe string.

    Sounds like a pretty even handed assessment... and, to be honest, I really like him as a pundit and didn't think I would....but lets not mess about, he's an ex liverpool player who used to knock his bird about and is fond of_dogging.

    Bullcrap!  Fed up of hearing the same clap trap (dont take offence toffe cup, this is for everyone who uses the same excuses).....  How long will the Balckburn and Portsmouth excuse be used by fans??? No one talks about the success of new ownership so far...  John Henry has been ok so far, saving them from Administration and spending more than we have in a decade.  Reading have done ok, Man City, Arsenal, Newcastle eventually, QPR remains to be seen, but he seems to do the best for the club and not afraid to use personal finance, West Ham under gold etc.... So don't give me that... Such pish poor poor examples......

    Moyes has got us to a level which is safe, he has not pushed any boundaries at all... He has also wasted a LOT of money and ruined players as far as I am concerned but thats personal opinion not everyone will agree.

    And as for the highlighted comment, that comes from your mouth Toffee Cup, what was actually said is that we as Evertonians should be grateful for what we have NOW!!!  So what this means is, lets just be happy with what we have and shut up!

    Im so glad I have my own mind and do not follow and believe everything I hear and is said by the club.

    You could argue that I agree.... you could also argue that buying a club should be about where you can take it, not where it was when you bought it. To be fair, pre purchase, Blackburn compared to City wasn't exactly poles apart. At least Blackburn had won the league!



    Anyway, glad you agree we are both sick of this argument. We may differ on the why and wherefore, but neither of us are happy with the way things are.

    But its such a bitch poor poor example to use!  Portsmouth and Blackburn, its shameful that you use these guys... Why dont you talk about the positives that the new owners have brought the clubs i me mentioned!  The only reason you dont wish to continue the debate cos your stuck and have no way to elaborate other than Blackburn and Portsmouth... 

    And comes to that, who the flying fluck wants to buy us for £125M???  Its like buying Heskey for £50M, absolute crazy!! kenkunt knows exactly what he is doing, wake up and smell the sprouts... Villa was sold for £60M odd with a better safer stadium....

    km.... I've been arguing this point with tony longer than you've been on this forum. thats why I can't be arsed to continue.

    The examples I used, four in total, Reading, Blackburn, Portsmouth and City, I've used because they are/were premier league clubs who have been bought be wealthy owners. Perhaps you have another four examples you could choose from?

     I'd be prepared to bet you won't find many with a similar turnover figure as ours when it was bought.... (by that I mean its little use pointing at Man United)....probably the best that could be pointed to would be Aston Villa... who got a great result taking  them out of the relegation places this weekend.

    But lets be clear, I'm picking out these clubs as examples because they are examples of clubs who got bought and for no other reason.

    I been on this forum 5 years................ This has not been argued for 5 years.... Get yer facts right first before you open your mouth!  You assume too much, just like Luke....... Again patronising!!!  You are weak person to debate with, very weak....  How long you been here?

    Liverpool is another example so far of a successful change of ownership... And no you did not mention reading and city, I did!

    List of successful new ownership so far - QPR, Hughes was there when Tony took over, gave him a chance didnt succeed, not his fault, now harry seems to be getting them out, money spent YES.... Reading, so far yes, for that size of the club...  Villa, yes, spent loads just hasnt worked out for Lambert so far, City YES....... I can carry on....

    Portsmouth and Blackburn we very different cases and were handled badly, both were in debt anyway especially Portsmouth, thats why it kept changing hands. 


    What has Villa got to do with being in the relegation fight????  they have spent loads of money... It hasn't worked for them with Lambert so far...  Moyes had us in a similar position once too...

    I just dont see what your getting at??

    Turnover means nothing if you have a rotting stadium, no assets, not making a profit and 40m and rising in debt!  our players are our only assets

    I can assure you I've been talking about this for longer that 5 years with tony....christ these conversation were had about Kenwright and the fortress sports fund ahead of Rooney being sold 8 years ago.

    I'm not surprised that you don't get what I'm on about... but thats more a reflection of you tbf, especially with this comment:
