I had a lot of hopes for second part of th season and suddenly we played like a relegation team. Noone steps up and play good footbal, why does every player play so bad now?
We were just lucky before xmas?, or is it cause we missed out on reinforcements in January or the fact that Moyes have not signed a new contract? or is it a mix of it all?

    I just feel sad now:(

    Exactly.....

Last season we brought in fresh faces the give our season a boost whereas this season since Fer deal fell through we have been deflated, couple that with Moyes not signing new deal until he sees how we do....

Well as it looks now we wont even make europe....so much for our so called good season

Agreed, and who is to blame for the Fer deal messing up? Billy and Bobby! As per usual, the club is so close to progressing but they take us from behind and drag us back.

Disgustingly poor football by all the players, they have no excuses. Let Moyes move on, sell the so-called stars and start the whole team building again.

You can't blame lack of reinforcements, or managerial uncertainty, that bunch of players had the ability to beat Wigan, they just didn't play. All the goals were EASY for Wigan. Not Billy's fault either - those players need to give back a week's wages.

I agree, man, but you can blame the board for the sheer inconsistency that we've witnessed over the past season and especially in the last two months thanks to the failed January transfer window. Expect it to get much, much worse.

If you are looking for a root cause for today and rest of our poor performances this year, Mr. van Dyke has the answer- the Club's failure to provide the expected reinforcements in January has knocked the motivation out of the team. It still is no excuse for losing, though.

Fundamentally Moyes has lost what was his greatest strength when he first came, his ability to improve players.
We hadSave Draft no money when he arrived so he used his coaching ability to get extra from players like Carsley, Gravesen, Kilbane etc.........

Once Moyes knew he wasn't getting financial backing his first thought should have been,"How do i freshen up the squad ive got?"

The answer is staring him in the face, integrate the youngsters like Barkley,Duffy,Vellios,Kennedy gradually into the first team instead of throwing them on when ya 3-0 down!

I really dont understand what Moyes has got to lose by doing this? The fans would welcome it cause frankly there is no other option.
Clearly Neville & Heitinga especially have had too many oppurtunities to prove themselves & clearly they arn't up to it!

It pains me to see Osman, Pienaar & Fellaini under-performing simply because at times they have nothing more to give as they need resting now & then.

Another reason for poor form is that teams have now stifled the Fellaini / Pienaar / Baines threat - even Swansea did a job on us at home after we tonked em away.

Yes the Coleman / Mirallas partnership will take the pressure off them but teams have stopped the supply line by marking Osman /
Gibson as they arn't quick players to evade man- marking.

That leaves our centre-halves playing 50-50 balls to jelavic.

Watching the blues, our build-up is too slow & predictable-we need to get the ball to the front men alot quicker instead of letting the opposition get 10 men behind the ball before we start to attack.

And lets hope its Martinez who's doing the rebuilding.
