He's the best striker we have had for a long time, he looks the part and could play for a host of top clubs. He is instinctive and has quick reactions (only needs one touch to score). As I said before if we don't give him the service and don't adapt to his ability he will struggle.

Unlike Yakubu he is a hard worker and does a lot for the team

Like most in the thread I'm sure he'll come good again... but can't help but feel he'd benefit either from a strike partner.... and I can't see Moyes playing two up front in many prem games... or an attacking and creative central midfielder.... for whom we'd probably have to sell Fellaini to be able to afford.

Its a tricky one, but there is no doubt that he's making a mess of the service he is getting at the moment, its not a case of  him not getting enough service.

I was right behind osmans goal on Tuesday and let me tell you Jelly Belly tried his hardest to divert it in but he could not manage that! Luckily it seemed to go down as good play from him distracting the keeper!! He needs anything in off his a*se will suffice saturday. Its not through lack of trying thought he ran his swallies off on Tuesday

Yes he's trying too hard and I suppose and all strikers need goals for thier confidence, but for the games ive seen lately he just hasn't had a sniff, purely down to the fact nothing is getting created for him, everything in the box is in the air...great when cahill was in there but jelavic is more of a player than to get the pieces, hes a player for ball to feet and he doesn't get it in the areas he is dangerous`in.

I wish Jelavic just stopped trying. Really, I do. If he stopped going out wide for the ball the players would move their @rses and get it there themselves and then put the ball into the box when he's actually in there (and not just returning from the wing because he had to collect the ball). He wouldn't be tired when the ball came to him. He'd have plenty of time to position and compose himself. He'd score.

Well, most of the people on here seem to agree on one thing, D.M. isn't using him the right way. Not playing to his best position , IN THE PENALTY AREA, thats where he scored most of his goals.

Who said that apart from you? Moyes IS playing him centrally and IS encouraging him to get in the box and get on the end of things, what are you on about lad? Why blame moyes for Jelavic constantly missing chances, he can only do so much with him before it comes down to his technical ability and confidence to put the ball in the net.
