I think if we get to the semi final , deep down moyes has made his mind up to stay or go, if its to stay then just before the semi final come out and say defo staying would lift all players and supporters and give a big boost to win. players must be a bit unhappy that Moyes is not saying anything as if you was a player then to have the belife that your boss is staying would make you play for him even more ...

Moyes wants to leave....right now he's waiting to see what offers he gets elsewhere.......

if nobody bigger than us comes in for him, he'll sign a new contract with us......

he'll announce nothing before a POTENTIAL semi final.......

its pretty obvious no?....if he wanted to stay he would have sorted out a new contract by now......Bill wants him, most of the fans want him, so whats the problem......

the problem is he's fed up with having to make do on a fraction of the money that lesser managers, and clubs have to invest.

it must be taking a toll on him by now.

i personally feel... he may feel.. as though he's taken the club as far as he can...he is perfectly within his rights to hang on and sign when his current contract expires if he wishes...

I dont beleive it's about "holding the club to ransom" or any of the other nonsense being spouted. he's either comfortable to wait then sign..or just "comfortable" to not sign...

i haven't said he's holding the club to ransom......i'm pretty much saying what you've said........i think he wants to leave, but if nothing better comes along, he'll stay......and i'm sure he's told Bill as much....

he's not gonna leave football, and we pay him really really well.......but there's only so many years you can keep achieving with limited money........problem he has though is, i think he needs to win a trophy with us before the bigger clubs will look at him....

so it may be that he signs a contract, but still has an agrement with Bill that if & when a bigger club comes calling, he'll take that job (even if its only 6 months into his new contract).....

i never said you did mate ..that was just my opinion...

i firmly believe the players and Bill know his decision now... or at least the way he's thinking...

Agree with this, not the rest...

I would accept either way if he wanted to go or stay, but not letting the chairman know until the summer before the new season starts would cancel next season for us due to transition of finding a new manager and new players, IF he were to go that is.... I would not forgive him if he did that

I cant see how im the only one who sees this?????????????

oh definately.........which is part of the problem for me......i think our performances have dipped since Moyes' contract situation has become more highlighted......

also you have to imagine if the agents of players like Fellaini & Baines are informing them of interest from bigger clubs, why would these players not have their heads turned now when they know Moyes plans to leave.....all this must effect the team morale and team performances.....

Chelsea, Tottenham, and Swansea all got new managers since the end of last season. I wouldn't think their season has been cancelled like!

fair enough KHL.......i'll ask you this (and any one else who wants to join in).....do you think Spurs were effected last season by the Harry Redknapp England speculation........or do you think that was just a coincidence that their formed dipped massively during all that, but then they recovered when Hodgson got the job and things went back to normal....

Agree.... its all speculation at this moment in time and I doubt Moyes would ever tarnish his reputation with the club and fans after 11 years... So... we will see...

TBH i personally think it's all pure coincidence...with spurs as with moyes now..it's all newspaper talk..in house they will talk to the players and keep them informed...the players will then respect their "decision" even if that "decision" is i'm not quite sure yet....the pressure comes from outside and it's this that disrupts the players.....

imagine in your job if you constantly hear your boss is getting made redundant/is leaving for instance...your work suffers...so what do you do ? you ask your boss if it's true...
