Why we struggle to score goals......

    i've said this a few times now, but, last season Jelavic was getting 4,5,6 chances per game, in alot of the games i have seen this season he has had maybe 2, so all of a sudden your percentages are going to drop dramatically cos you just aint getting as many opportunities as you were used to.....then like you say Howie, you start over tihnking, you start trying to hard and it doesn't come naturally...

    Spot on Sambo...However...I also want to point out that Baines is not getting forward as much as he used to...and Jelly seems to be playing a much more left sided role.   And...finally....When you need to score goals you don't substitute a striker for a striker...You put on an extra striker...Are you listening Moysie?

    we struggled to score goals early on in the season because we were missing so many chances , it was nothing to do with creativity, but totally poor finishing, weres struggling to score now because were not creating anything near what we were and partly thats down to being obsessed with felliani and just trying to hit him, the main reason now is teams have found us easy to stop , just keep pienaar and baines quiet and were fooooooooooked, baines has created 85 chances this season and pienaar 59 and i bet most of those were before christmas, pienaars form is terrible as well , osman dont create to much and thats it all we got to create is pienaar and baines and thats not working anymore, hopefully coleman will add some creativity with mirallas (if moyes plays him) problem is moyes hasnt got the tactical ability to come up with another plan other than hoof it to feliani, we need the ball out wide and jelavic to stay in the box, sick of seeing him now always out on the wings.
