    Get a grip.....
I have followed this club through thick and thin for over 40 years.I have been reduced to tears of joy and i have suffered some of the direst football ever served up.
Lets face it the lads are running on fumes, dont criticise the players they have give us there all up to now.
I find these days that dissapointment is a pill people will not swallow, while my father taught me it is a mark of a man to accept it and move on.I listened to Arsenal fans in the week calling for Wengers head because they hadnt won a trophy and it is just not fair!! Reminded me of a spoilt child in a toyshop or the shower of **** across the park.
I have stated on here in the past that i am angry with the board of this club. They have brought no relief in the trenches to a first class general, who has at times made some errors on the battlefield (so did napoleon). They have not freshened up the troops who are now weary, and regardless of there ability i am as proud of them as i would be if it was my own son out there. The very idea of us competing for a champs league place in Feb (backed by media and general opinion) is incredible. More incredible when we have not had a pot to **** in with regard transfer budget. Our illustrious neighbours have spent £50 mil since August and still sit two places behind us,and if they catch us so **** what! with that kind of money we would probably be 10 pts clear at the top.
So i will be there Tuesday night i will be right behind the lads like i have always been through thick and thin, one last effort can see us picking up some silverware. The lads dont need are criticism right now they need our support.lets ramp it up Tuesday i will never ever ever give up on this club it is in my blood.
Now stop your crying be happy again Wembley here we come

winning is boring,in the eighties losing was impossible it never happened but somehow it felt like a procession if you know what i mean.
I would love that feeling of winning the fa cup from a position of adversity, that would bring tears to the eye.

fantastic post..especially the bit about some of the direst football ever served up..i went to some of the games in the 97/98 season where we stayed up by the skin of our teeth and that was awful..fast forward to this season and we look like world beaters in comparison..would be great to win the f.a. cup again! COYB!!! \m/

That was a majors shout to his troops, that,Jordy.

I think I'm 37 years watching them & though were not winning anything,we've got our pride back.

Were up with the arsenals,RS & spurs who've spent mega.

You speak to a 'respectful' one from them clubs & they know the bobby.

Goin on tues & will bust my own ears out for the lads,.

(Won't be able to talk in work next day but thats what we do)

Getting some good solid posters on here now liking it....this is what being a blue is all about.
The forum i suspect is full of 20 somethings i want it all now characters, but blues none the less so want get into a debate with them.
I have witnessed some **** as i said, the micky Lyons hoofball days, being in the anny rd when Fairclough came out of the fog on the halfway line to sink us and break my young heart, and of course barry horne.
But i have sat stunned with emotion as ratters danced around goodison with the title (**** of a trophy btw) and he passed it to me to kiss in the bullens rd paddock.
I remember an Arsenal fan telling me we were a good side but were as arrogant as **** because we thought we were unbeatable (we were)
If we really had a call to arms Tuesday and stood to a man and got behind our boys, trust me i have been there with this club to a man they would feel 30ft tall and smash **** out of any team.
    keep the faith
