Lower Gwladys St Singing Area - Oldham match

We're looking to re establish the old singing area that was at the back middle of the Gwladys Street for years. The idea is for everyone who does start off the songs, or wants to sing far more etc to be congregated together in order to get the songs going and create the atmosphere.

If you're interested get your ticket for the Oldham Cup match in the Lower Gwladys Street GT4 LL-PP 092-101. nb, this area includes obstructed views.

We've got a great chance of Wembley and we don't want to slip up.

Hi mate just a few of us trying to organise it. We'd often lead the singing in the past but in league games over quite a few seasons now the new fans who are coming in who want to sing, are too spread out over the ground to get any songs going. So in a way the area needs re advertising as the place you should go to if you want to be singing more.

Been to a few games in europe (roma/madrid)... they always have 2 or 3 lads who sit at the front and get them all going... we do need to get the songs goin... been years now really... better than it was in the 90s but still could be better...

That's where i used to sit. It was back in the Walter Smith days though.
There wasn't alot to sing about then. I do remember the crowd managing to get Mark Hughes subbed though. 'Stand up if you hate Mark Hughes!'

I was a Gwladys street regular from 1981 - 1989, and in the days we stood up at matches i seem to remember we ALL sang when we wanted to?

I guess thesedays everything has to be booked LLM

I sit in LGS and do like to join in singing to encourage the team.
I do feel put off tho if those around me aren't joining in.

I think its a good idea to have this central singing area at the heart of the stand as this would develop a domino effect on fellow supporters.

The atmosphere at big games takes care of itself but we need to cheer the lads on in every game and make goodison rock!
As mentioned previously,at recent away games, some old classics have been belted out which tend not to be sang at home games.
I will endevour to do my best

Surely these seats are took up by STH & the same guys will go again.

All for a sing song Block 7,PE. Still would like a lead from some die hards who don't give a sh-it if no one joins in!

I agree but this game is basically our season and it may even decide Moyes future. We need a full ground for this one, a full ground with a white hot atmosphere. Oldham fans will come in their thousands to have a party because it's their cup final and i get the impression some of their players are getting confident, cocky even. So lets show them where they are.

true, but a lot of people wont sing and join in

so if everyone that does sing was to get together, it would work well like
