NSNO said:playing Distin left back, means playing Heitinga centre back......and right now i don't even trust him against a league 1 team.....but certainly would like to see Oviedo come straight on for Baines if the game is in the bag....
don't wanna see Moyes tinker with the team too much....get the game won first, and then take off the likes of Baines & PIenaar..

Beano said:Me thinks the priorities here are **** ways. The big focus has to be the FA Cup. If we're resting Osman, Neville etc, do it against Norwich and/or Reading.
Loads of people wanted us to rest players at Leeds and then the same people moaned when we did and lost.

NSNO said:don't think resting Osman for Barkley would be taking the game lightly........changing a full back that doesn't do anything isn't a big deal either.....as long as the rest of the team is full strength, and has the right attitude, then we should be ok.......apart from moyes leaving out too many key players against Leeds (Howard, Jags, Baines, osman, Pienaar & jelavic), our attitude also wasn't right.....

Beano said:I would say the act of "resting" players is in itself setting an "attitude".
Barkley isn't currently good enough to get starts in a mid table side in the nPower Championship. People need to stop letting their emotions dictate their opinions on how good these young lads are.
Stones cannot play for us in this years FA Cup anyway

Can't argue with any of that....one thing i would say is, the team hasn't being playing well lately (southampton, bolton, villa, united).....so i'm just looking to freshen things up with a kid who will want to impress.....but again as you said, prehaps i'm getting a little carried away with what i'm expecting from barkley....

Neville Jags Distin Baines

Don’t see why Barkley can’t play tomorrow…..Osman has looked tired lately (Moyes has waffled on that he hasn’t been able to rest him)….so against League 1 opposition (and with a full strength team otherwise) why not give Barkley a game……
