Hope Moyes stays but if not..hello Roberto Martinez ?

His sides play good football & with a much better squad to work with at Everton he could go well...plus...he is used to working with a small transfer kitty.

I'd love him as our next manager, if we have to be mid table then at the very least we'd have an honourable man at the helm.

I think its obvious Moyes considers leaving a very real possibility depending on what other options present themselves to him.

I wouldn't just assume Matinez would be our top target. I have always liked Brian McDermot - or if you're looking for the next Moyes, the likes of Eddie Howe, Karl Robinson and Chris Powell will all be getting Prem jobs in the next couple of years!

If you wanted to go for a good upcoming European manager - Thomas Tuchel!

I think he'll stay... but he'll be pushing for big funds to spend now that the new TV deal is here and Fellaini looks to be off too. You'd imagine, with the team being his and all that cash to spend.... after all this time, it would be to tempting to walk away from.

Also, who else needs a new manager in the summer... Jose looks to be going to chelsea or man city... spurs are happy with the exotically foreign sounding manager they've always craved... everyone else that could challenge is accounted for bar liverpool and he wouldn't go there.

Although granted I know nothing of German teams and what their situation is. I'd imagine he'd be tempted to try his arm over there with some money and a CL team.

But if he does go I'd like Slaven Bilic

Yeah Slaven Bilic would be a good choice (played at Everton, managed Croatia) but I reckon Moyes will stay and be handed a big transfer kitty for the summer regardless wether Fellaini goes or not. If Fellaini goes then a whole squad transforming budget.

im torn to be honest whether its time for a change or whether he should stay, yes hes given the club stability in the past 11 years but stats are what count in football and in 11 years he hasn't won anything. Would you want to go another 11 years without a trophy? yes hes worked on a tight budget and done wonders but hes also 'ditherd' over prospective transfers in the past.

If he put out the strength of team every other year in the Carling cup that he is now putting out in the FA Cup we'd have won it twice.

Thing is, he seems to have drawn the same conclusion now.... so he must stay.

I think he's a lovely chap....but I have seen no evidence that he could do anything that DM can't...he's great at getting Wigan oyt of trouble but they perenially struggle to survive.

Which mate, imo, is a feat in itself.

Wigan, and its players, are a mid table championship side (at best) masquerading as a premier league side.

They play good football, for the personnel they have, and i personally think, he does wonders with what he has available to him....

Paul Jewell had them finish in the top half. Steve Bruce also had them well up the table.

    Just sayin!
