It's not like there'd be a price war. One side cuts their stuff with all sorts of **** and the other would have pure on prescription. -

Posts: 3,204February 15 It does the 2 things I need to give up, a proper hit on the throat and nicotine. It smokes like a cigarette, tastes lovely and I can smoke it anywhere.
I've been looking at the more expensive Vapor Shark kits and how to reduce weed to an oil to vape in it, it's looking good. £60+ for that kit though. -

No chance mate. They'd find a way of getting in on the action. Aa they do now with many legal items.
Also as discussed before if heroin is legalised whats the cut off point ? Does a doctor write a prescription for as much as they want?
Also you legalise it and it wont be free. Infact it will be more expensive.

Posts: 3,204February 15 We are running over the same ground mate. That wasn't my intention, I just wanted to point out that someone with 2 decades of direct experience in the field shares my opinion.
To answer you. The article suggests prescription, which would limit it's cost to much less than a dealer could offer, and much much safer. Given we're already in Afghanistan, we could get all we wanted for pennies and we wouldn't have to smuggle it across Europe. -

It might be cheaper for the individual but not for the provider. It wont just come clean cut in bags. It will go through drug manufacturers. They can do what they want with it and will charge through
the roof. Not one single drug in this country is not provided by a drug manufacturer.
For example my son has chloral hydrate to sleep. It cost £1.25 to make a 100 ml bottle. He has 250 mls a week at a cost of 3.25 . The gp is charged 225 quid a week. A thousand pound a month. He looks for cheaper alternatives that are then less effective. Cancer drugs cost nothing to make but companies charge thousands.
Now a gp gets an addict he needs to prescribe for. He knows its expensive he will give little as possible or an alternative.
Addicts not happy ... He will look elsewhere. -
Posts: 3,204February 15 I see your point mate and it is valid. Why couldn't it be manufactured and packaged in Afghanistan though? This is just the sort of thing they need, cut the pharmaceutical companies out.
