    Howard
    Neville Jags Distin Baines
    Mirallas Barkley Gibson Pienaar
    Fellaini
    Jelavic

Don’t see why Barkley can’t play tomorrow…..Osman has looked tired lately (Moyes has waffled on that he hasn’t been able to rest him)….so against League 1 opposition (and with a full strength team otherwise) why not give Barkley a game……

playing Distin left back, means playing Heitinga centre back......and right now i don't even trust him against a league 1 team.....but certainly would like to see Oviedo come straight on for Baines if the game is in the bag....

don't wanna see Moyes tinker with the team too much....get the game won first, and then take off the likes of Baines & PIenaar..

Me thinks the priorities here are **** ways. The big focus has to be the FA Cup. If we're resting Osman, Neville etc, do it against Norwich and/or Reading.

Loads of people wanted us to rest players at Leeds and then the same people moaned when we did and lost.

Agree with Beano...FA Cup should be our number 1 priority now.

The way the season is panning out we're probably looking at sneaking into the Europa League in 6th place providing the FA Cup finalists are 2 from the current top 5, so might as well go for the cup...win some silverware & qualify for europe at the same time !!

don't think resting Osman for Barkley would be taking the game lightly........changing a full back that doesn't do anything isn't a big deal either.....as long as the rest of the team is full strength, and has the right attitude, then we should be ok.......apart from moyes leaving out too many key players against Leeds (Howard, Jags, Baines, osman, Pienaar & jelavic), our attitude also wasn't right.....

I would say the act of "resting" players is in itself setting an "attitude".

Barkley isn't currently good enough to get starts in a mid table side in the nPower Championship. People need to stop letting their emotions dictate their opinions on how good these young lads are.

Stones cannot play for us in this years FA Cup anyway

Can't argue with any of that....one thing i would say is, the team hasn't being playing well lately (southampton, bolton, villa, united).....so i'm just looking to freshen things up with a kid who will want to impress.....but again as you said, prehaps i'm getting a little carried away with what i'm expecting from barkley....

Last time I sawa of Barkley playing for us (was it against Chelsea?), he held the ball too much, had lack of passings, looked risky to me.

If he's gonna play, he needs to do more passes. PASS, PASS, PASS, and the game will flow. Well, I hope.

I disagree, Mr. B: With a good run of results (we have done it before), CL qualification is still possible. We must treat the League and Cup with equal focus. At least, if the Oldham match turns into another shabby draw, we will get another chance at Goodison. Maybe this weekend is the time to give Barkley a chance.
