    i'd have fired a couple of shots, when i heard the thud on the ground, i would have turned the lights, casually walked over, on realising it was the missus i would have casually popped a couple into her head up close and personal just to make sure.

    Moral of the story, legs or no legs, if the opportunity arises, you just cannot be too careful and have to make sure.

    It is an easy mistake to make. I was once awoken by a noise in the bedroom so, half asleep, I reached under the pillow for my pistol and fired wildly across the room. I only stopped when my girlfriend asked me what the hell I was doing. It turned out that we were very lucky- I only missed her because she had tripped over my shoes and socks, and fallen down.

    Wife is gutted he was a true pin up for her and someone she admired very much, and we were proud to say we were there when he won his gold medal. So shocking, just shows ya dont know what goes on in peoples lives.....

    Me too Howie...I was so excited and happy for him to have such success at the Olympics.
    Then this morning when I got up and saw the news, I couldn't believe it. I feel so bad for this young lady
    and her family. They must be devastated.

    Sad that there is so much in the way of jokes about it, but its how we are in this Country, ive been guilty of it myself about other stuff. There we are, its how it goes, were just a funny country really, if its someone close to us we'd be going crazy now, but its not so its ok to have a laugh. Still seems wrong, but it doesnt really affect anyone here does it ?so its ok.........bizzare

    you make a very valid point there howie..it is a tragedy and that poor girls family must be devestated...as it was me that started this thread i feel a bit bad now and hang my head in shame!

    Fair point howie. Totally understand. He had the world at his feet and then he murdered a beautiful woman. He was better off than most, so_fuck him now. He's fair game imo.
