Ross Barkley seems a bit of a nervous lad.....

Watching the interview he did when he came back from Leeds, he does not strike me as a lad that oozes confidence and seems a bit more of a shy type.......think we forget at times though, he is only 19. He will no doubt bloom in to a decetn player as the years go by. :)

I sometimes wish Evertonfc.com had subtitles. Imagine Barkley and Carragher in a conversation?

The lad is barely legible, like Carragher.

I hate it when people say, he's only 18,19, 20 or whatever. How old was Rooney, how old was Alan Ball when he was a world cup winner. If you're good, you're good......

Birkenhead. Born in Clatterbridge. Lived on Merseyside until I left about a decade ago, and lived in various countries all over the world.

Does that allow me to say anything about how someone speaks, or are you just going to get upset for no reason?

Makes sense.....i remember him talkin about his debut..he said he was hopin we d be 3-0 nil up when moyes would ask him to go on....doesnt sound like a lad confidant of goin on and changin a game..more like a nervous wreck....i know it was his debut but i think the truly great players would be hopin its nil nil or 1 down so he could go in and be the hero and have the confidence to be that hero......is it moyes cause victor is a lad with absolutly no confidence or self esteem also...like isaid before i think the fact that there not givin a chance is hittin the confidence...and now the lad is at home sayin kin ell leeds dont even want me..moyes is gonna have put an arm round him and build him up again caise id say hes at rock bottom right now

Rooney was the same and still is at age 27.

doesn't matter what you do in interviews or how you speak though.  it's about what you do on the pitch

Rooney was a nervous wreck in interviews when he first came along too!

There's a funny statistic about how many young players are in U16-U19 players, where most of the lads birthdays are from january to march. Which means they are a bit more mature than late-birthday lads. And people think the january-march born lads are real talented, in real life they're just physically more mature.

Ross is born in december though. Don't know what that means, but at least he ain't a january-march kid, which makes him less mature than lads in his age, so.... still maturing! Patience - if he cuts it, he does.
