1st time poster. If Everton were to sell Baines n Fellaini in the summer and cleared the clubs debts total (which would make the club a lot more appealing to potential buyers) and the club agreed to free up all of the £35m incoming tv monies for next season would you be happy for Moyes to spend this money or would you prefer a fresh start with a new manager at the helm. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts.

Stick with Ol'Davey, but Kenwright needs to put in his contract that if he ever bottles it again in the semi's he can fuqin do one!

Seriously tho- I think if Moyes had some decent money to spend he would get us up to that next level. I think he has missed a few opportunities but i'm no pro manager.

people who say we'll never win with Moyes are going to eat their words one of these days.  We've been to an FA Cup final.. we've been close.  We can do it again and win.

Glenn makes an odd point about clearing our debts. Feeds makes an interesting point about going down.

Having debt hasn't stopped anyone from buying a club. We either have the cash on the pitch or we cash it in and clear the debt... I'm not sure it would effect the value of the club much. Moyes won't let a high value players run their value into the ground at Everton, we can't afford to, so if we leave the money on the pitch it would be in selling Fellaini and then reinvesting the money on new players. Surely you'd back Moyes's ability in the transfer market to offer better value than any current interest rate.

Moyes won't take us down. Although you might argue he has been unlucky in the cups, even if fielding a stronger team in the Carling cup more often could have changed that.

But for football clubs to get bought currently, more often than not, they or their owners need to be in trouble. Football is heading in one direction currently... for a busi9nessman to walk from that upside they generally need to be forced into it. Our owners aren't facing any trouble. If you want wealthly new owners then the best chance would probably be for the club keep its debt and get itself relegated.... So maybe Alex McLeish could be the tactical move a lot of Everton fans would like to see.

To be honest, I'd be happy for Moyes to stay, the debt to stay and all our money to be out on the pitch.

" cleared the clubs debts total (which would make the club a lot more appealing to potential buyers)"

what makes the club unappealing to buyers isnt the 35mill debts. its the 150 - 250 million pound stadium that we need.

"So maybe Alex McLeish could be the tactical move a lot of Everton fans would like to see."

I dont think so. he's not in moyseys class.

Roy Keane, a yobbo with no sense and even less ability to manage the club or the players.

there must be other good managers around but they probably already have jobs and why should they join us?
what can we offer that others can't?
