If there is one thing Moyes knows he'll have if he stays its money.... along with a team that are all his picks and a club and chairman who support him.... there aren't many better places to be as a manager when you are used to having no money

its pessimistic perhaps but it was a missed opportunity.....we're in such a good position now, that 2 or 3 new faces could really have fired us up again.....
No point the board regretting not backing Moyes after he leaves, they had there chance right now, and we didn't strength the team.....

And it wasn't even a massive gamble to spend £10 million, if we got champs league we were sorted for cash......if we missed out, then we sell fellaini anyways, so we have our £10 mill back plus about £15 million more....

Well... Moyes said it wasn't for lack of trying... and he has money to spend so rarely he often says he refuses to spend on players he isn't totally committed to.

He was tracking Fer for a long time, which must have been dissappointing.

But there is clearly money there for him to spend in the summer....be it fellaini money or not. You raise an interesting point on that front.... maybe that was the general idea.

David told me he was trying to lighten the load of expectation off the players and to get people to forget how good we are... he has spoken to the lads and told them that he is pleased with their hard work and that the peripheral players will all get their chances between now and the end of the season... David asked me to relay this to you...

well yeah he has 8 million to spend.....

It was a player Moyes had tracked for a while & really wanted, so why did the board wait till the end of the window to get a deal done?, if they'd sorted it 2-3 weeks earlier, he'd have "failed" a medical 2-3 weeks earlier....and moyes could have gone for someone else (I'm pretty sure Moyes' wishlist had more than 1 name on it)........

his comments were pretty lame. same sqaud size and we have played pretty well in the second half of the season in recent years.
I thought we played ok against Man U. We just couldnt break them down and not many teams do at OT. We got some really tough games coming up so 4th is deffo a no goer IMO.

I mean we offered more for that striker. 10 million. The new TV deal is a big raise... we'll be further into that by the next window....And Fellaini looks like he wants a move, and good luck to him. That is huge money in Moyes terms.

You can argue we were in a good position for forth. I'm not so sure looking at out fixtures, the games we've lost and drawn. You just don't draw the number of games we have this season and finish 4th in this league.

Who knows the reason we left it so late. Thus far, Moyes has done his business early in some windows and has also done great business very late too.

Whatever happen Moyes himself said that the final result wasn't for lack of trying and I can only take him on his word there.

This season does look like being a fantastic opportunity for a club to break into that top four position.... but for me, we'd pretty much lost a realistic chance of that happening before the transfer window opened.... had we not have done, and were we in third or points clear in forth as we should have been on some of our results and fixtures played then maybe the board and Moyes would have acted differently. Who knows?

Like I said, I can only trust Moyes on his word as he's given me no reason to doubt him.

Plus, much as I like Kenwright.... I wouldn't put it past him to sign any old player in a tight spot on the last day of a transfer window... just to stop the mongs from whinging.... but I would also expect Moyes to stop him doing it.
