i think its deflated the players and the fans and is definitely have a detrimental affect.

But we shouldn't make it as an excuse.

Would have been nice to get one or two new players in but it doesn't excuse how the flair and creativity has dried up from players that performed well in the first half of the season. We've become predictable and I hate to say it, a bit boring.

i don't think its made a huge difference yet....as Leroy Fer may not have played much in the first few weeks...but i think it'll make a diffence from now on as we cant freshen things up much, and players like Osman Baines & Pienaar might start to fade...

Spurs have added Holtby, who looks good...but an injury to Bale would really hurt their season....Arsenal didn't strenghten much either, so i can see them dipping too....

whats cost us, is the points we dropped late to Newcastle (refs fault), Fulham & norwich......and ofcourse that Villa result last week......thats 8 points right their.......as you said in another post.....Fine lines......

no plan B..start with felli up front ..then drop him back into midfield...then move him back up front again...??

I think with coleman back in at right back and mirrallas back on the wing with peinnaar the other side..the crerativity will flow..the service into the box will improve..hence jella should start scoring again...however,.....

one of the above gets injured and the whole deck of cards seems to break down......

just giving him a feel for the first team...

for me i'd have played him against villa for at least half an hour...

if he's lucky i think he'll get 10 mins here and there...however should we get an injury to neville (he was limping yesterday) i'd throw stones straight in until the coleman is back ready...

not good though coming into a losing game at OT..if they had of conceded anymore and down to him...well you can guess the rest...

moyes far too cautious for that !!

we may see him in the last few games 10/15 mins here and there if he's lucky..then he'll be fully integrated into preseason is my guess...

could do with him now though...imo..struggling down the right side big style..

the creativity has dried up because were easy to work out, as teams have started to do, over load our left side and stop baines and piennar and as man utd did yesterday mark felli out the game, it was pretty clear after 15 minutes jones had fellaini in his pocket and we never reacted to it, moyes tried pienaar on the right but with an ineffective player like neville behind him pienaar isnt going to be a threat, our problem is the lack of a real creative centre midfield player who will open teams up or produce a moment of magic to win a game, we need a modric type or a corzola with all due respect osman and gibson are just not a good centre midfield pair niether would fellaini and gibson, we need something different but we havent got the players to win us games hence the ammount of draws. its upto moyes to find the answer and soon or we wont be winning to many more games. it wasnt a bad performance yesterday it just showed us how far we are behind teams like man utd , man utd wernt great either but they made the most of the opportunities they got, we never had good enough quality players to make the most of ours. fellaini was poor, baines ineffective. mirallas a season away from being a good player in the prem, jags played well and spent the whole game covering for heitenga and baines(who didnt cover himself in glory defensively either yesterday).

    B32...yes i'm sure he is..

cjohno..agree wityh most of your points...I dont think jones marked felli out of the game but I do think they two'd up against him and that put felli out of the game...also imo.... due to not knowing where to play..1 minute up front..next back in midfield..then back up front..then back in midfield...

as a coment on jones..he must of fouled felli at least 4 times in the first half hour and never got even a talking to...felli does 1 "over jump" on jones and then a tap ankle foul and gets booked....and for me thats part of the problem...when felli gets fouled..it's not a foul because "he's a big lad"...he fouls and it is a foul..because he;s a "big lad"...

Good to see him but surprised at Moyes for being so "bold"! Thought it would be next season before we saw his face. Moyes' record of fast-tracking players is not exactly wild and daring. I'd like to see Duffy get a game and would it not be a good time to let Ross strut his stuff?

Do you not think there's a danger that Ross will get pi**ed off waiting for his chance?

Yes. Completely. The board has f*cked our season over by announcing the Fer deal before it was done to boost their egos. We couldn't sign anyone else as a result because other teams knew we had some money and wanted more (see: Negredo).

Last year we had a catalyst; it was Jelavic and Gibson. This year we have nothing. We aren't getting an end of season push. I'd settle for 7th.
