I do it myself 3 times a week. Gonna up the distances gradually now with the brighter evenings coming in. And maybe go a 4th time every week. Fartlek style.

I'd be a bit embarrased to reveal that to the fella who averages 6m12sec miles. I never had much pace - I have a long standing back injury from football and even before that I was slower than Davie Weir :D But I do 8 to 10 kilometers almost every session so I take the pace a lot easier than that. I do a local 10k on Easter Monday every year so I better get the pace up a bit soon and save humiliating myself :D

i could only manage about 3-3.5 miles at that pace mate.....if i were to run 8-10k i would only run at probs 6.50m per mile or so.......just like to force the pace for the boxing more than anything, fights last 3x2m rounds, with a minute inbetween, so 9 minutes all together.....my thinking is, if i can run hard for 15 minutes, i should be able to get through 9 minutes boxing, method in my madness!!

At quicker than 7 minute miles over that distance, you'd still be leaving me behind! :(
