....that sometimes we will be beaten by a side that's better than us, you're probably better off not watching any level of football whatsoever.

manure got a number of fortunate breaks in possession but we had too many people not at the races. its not all down to neville (who had a half decent game) or anichebe, who had a stinker compared to recent performances. i thought piennar and osman were poor by their own high standards, and united had their gameplan spot on. they nullified fellaini and basically denied anichebe any space whatsoever to use his strength one on one. mirallas had a couple of flashes of brilliance but his final ball was ****. some of the absolute cranks on here (and i'm not including the usual trolls) just get **** hysterical when we don't win, and in a mirror image of their inadequate social lives, feel the need to pick a scapegoat (usually the same player regardless of his performance). we got beat, and deservedly so. we move on.

Maybe it's not about scapegoats, maybe it's about the usual suspects letting the team down yet again.

I got wound up because today was tedious. Little to no creativity, shoddy defending, no ball winning midfielder (Fer would of been good), United time wasting from the moment they went 1 up but at least Jela didn't look too bad when he came on.

sometimes tho its not getting beat by a better side that people complain about, its how we get beat, stupid school boy errors is what angers people, utd didnt have to produce anything decent football wise we gifted them there 2 goals, we made some very good openings in that game and again its poor basic passing and the final ball that pisssssssssses people off, we had 3 very good openings in that game and a simple final ball and theres a tap in ,we should of gone in 1-1 instead we go in 2 down , thats what people cant accept

    Good post trim.

Utd were miles ahead of us to be honest, our guys seemed happy enough to not be battered in that second half, but we lost 2-0 at Old Trafford. Shock, horror.

My main concern, as has been pointed out on other threads, is our complete inability to win against certain teams on certain grounds. That for me shows a lack of the right attitude more than the obvious mediocrity of a couple of our players.

Post for me, the whole team looks flat full stop like 4th place is not there for the taking, its a shame after a great start to the season but Manure are out of the way, let's hop Jeli starts firing again and we can get the push back on track

Yes, but if West Brom don't beat the reds, they will be only three points behind us. I am prepared for any position as long as it is ahead of the rds.

Completely unacceptable posts from some 'blues' today.

Yea we werent great nor were utd but come on,we gave it some go in the 45,SAF has got them drilled like a good'n.

Hard to beat anywhere let alone OT.

Silly individual mistakes, all season long.Thats why we don't win the Prem'.

The simple truth is that Moyes sent them more attacking in the early part of the season to get the start that we needed.....since then he has had then playing his usual brand of bland unforgetable football. We deserve better than this.....and you can see it in the players too. They are totally uninspired.....Maybe they know something we don't. ( Moyes...Fellaini )

Pity to see many people turning on each other in the forum. Some of the points made though are valid - yes, we've gone a bit flat - yes we're giving away too many bad goals - yes Utd did their homework (Jones did a great job and Felli himself needs to find a way to deal with that sort of attention - otherwise we won't get 25 to 30 million for him when he splits) - yes it's tough to beat Utd at OT.
They've given us a lot of hope this season. Maybe it was a bit much to expect 4th place, competing with the spenders. We're not out of it yet so let's get behind them and support them for their really tough remaining away games.
Finally - was at OT yesterday and talking to a few Utd fans. A lot of respect for us, our manager, our team.

Dont like getting beat, but for me the biggest disappointment for me was that too many of our players didnt put a decent shift in.

i can take the fact that we lost to united ,but to me the players looked scared from the first whistle. The second half was the most annoying because you could see we had setlled for keeping the score down.No pride no passion no fight (except jags who magnificent again).
