This treatment is another Priory style 12 step wankfest which has failed him time and again. The success rate of it is generally poor and it's massively outdated, but somehow it's where all the money goes.
He needs help, but not the same help over and over again. Fly him to a Bhuddist sanctuary in Nepal, or indeed look at more scientific conventional treatment, not the Priory crap again.
He's far from well, he's what 47? He looks like he's in his 60s.
I know what he's facing and I don't think another 12 step thing will help. Turning the power to God, humbly asking He removed your flaws is horseshit. Even devout Catholics sin against god, but ask forgiveness. This process takes away the tools within the individual to be able to help themselves while pinning it all on God.
The success rate of any Priory or Priory style clinic is carefully doctored, but they're really not very good at all. He needs different help. I am not saying some New Age happy clappy crap, that wasn't why I suggested Nepal, it was that he can't escape and get booze from there, and that he would become significantly healthier.
The £30k that his showbiz friends stumped up before telling everyone how good they are and announcing it isn't just wasted, it's counterproductive. Every time people hear the words The Priory they think it's the best. It's not, and it relies on a God who can't help as he doesn't exist.
For sensible advice, please see here, and no, it's not spam, it's Nottingham City's alcohol service.
Aye, but these treatments don't ask if it's within yourself, it's between you and GOD. Always cocking God.
Much as it is sad to see anyone die of cirrhosis, Best getting a new liver was a disgrace. Any normal person would have had to wait a long time and not drink for a year to get one. But no, not Besty, he's a legend in his own local. Someone might have lived a long time on the liver he took up.
