Based on head to head results this season I politely disagree....we have beaten Utd and Spurs and drew with City...only Chelsea beat us in a match where we were the superior team....

And I only said we could catch the teams in 2 examples out of 4- Spurs & Chelsea....... And they are teams with the toughest run-ins along with ourselves.

We're already ahead of LIverpool & Arsenal.....it's they who have to do the catching!

You also talk about Sturridge being the difference at Liverpool....well we have now got Gibson and Mirallas back...our best holding midfielder and or most skillful attacker, each out for roughly two months.

Just my opinion but Champions League is there for the taking.

I agree. Its there for the taking but I dont think we will take it.  Spurs and Chelsea as you say have tough run ins but they have the abillity to win games when not on top form, whereas we dont. Im afraid to say (as i mentioned earlier) i fear our small squad, too many draws and inability to finish off teams the reason we wont get 4th. This is my opinion. But i have to say im pretty close with my predictions

February 5 Everton are in the top 3 if not no.1 in best TEAM category for me when all fit and playing well.
dont think theyve been at their best past couple months but still have got results and with nearly back to full strength again now top 3 is still available
Chelsea are only going one direction with that clown managing em. i wouldnt include them in top4 come may
all to play for
best team category= spirit, working for each other and ability.....the others may have fancy players but the toffees have the greatest team ethic credit to moyes

So now let's look at the final league run-in for these teams......and also consider that Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal still have European games with Chelsea and Arsenal also still in the FA Cup.

So Arsenal seem to have an easier run in playing the top 6 only 3 times, however again, they are competing in 3 competitions and have tough derbies and away games. We also still have a slender lead over them meaning that they will have to better us by one result during the run in.

and finally.......( cos let's face it I've went on for a while now and Swansea have no chance)

So clearly the RS have the easiest run-in on paper with only 3 games against the top 6, although in saying that they haven't beaten any of the top ten this season....they are still in Europe and have to go to Russia, fingers crossed they continue to win in Europe. We're also 6 points to the good on them meaning they have to better us by three results in the remaining including at least 2 wins more than us....they haven't done it all season, what's to say they'll do it now.


So to sign off, this is for all the doomsdayers and negative nellys who say we're not firing, that we're going to get caught.....I say this..... we will Qualify for Europe definitely with a fantastic chance of Champions League.

I believe we will get top 4 and I'll be right behind us all the way - I hope you will be doing the same.

So, we're just 4 points off 3rd spot and the race is hotting up.....come Tuesday night we'll know exactly where we stand.

Interesting the amount of posts on this thread that were bigging up Liverpool and the signing of Sturridge......all I can say is 5 clear with a game in hand.....

April 14 i still think 5th is poaaible anything more is pure dreaming but not impossible

feel the 2 points Moyes gave away last week may hurt us a lot

Tuesday night is huge and a draw wouldn't be the worse result

Looks like We may be reying on Liverpool doing us a favour over Chelsea and with them still chasing Europe and the FA cuptheir minds may be distracted
