Tbh Liverpool are like us far too inconsistent play well against the good teams ie Sh*tty and the A*se but then do crap against others ie Villa 1-3 at home i fully expect WBA to take something from them

i had hoped the europa league would give us a bit of an advantage over Spurs, but it doesn't now.......

had a look at Spurs fixtures after their next 2 europa league games........because of the FA Cup, they have no league game the weekend after the first leg against Lyon.....and their game against west hame after the second leg with Lyon has been moved to monday night for TV.......so that was two potential hangovers now avoided.....

yeah hopefully Defoe is out for awhile, but Adebayor will be back soon...and they have so many attacking midfielders i think they'll be alright.......abit like us in the past when we ended up playing Fellaini upfront with Cahill....they can stick Dempsey upfront, with either Sigursson or Holtby in behind....and while Bale is fit, they'll always be dangerous.....

Sandro's a big miss for them though.....

sorry mate..........you see, i'm deliberately trying to be pessimistic now......every time i get optimistic, we mess up against teams like Villa......so reverse psychology and all that.....

with Escla on this one. Liverpool look so much better with Sturridge there now. I think it will be between us and them for the 5th spot. Spurs are too strong. too many match winners. Going on form i think Liverpool will take 5th and us probably 6th. Id still condsider that a good season especially when previous seasons i have predicted 8th.

Just remember not to overestimate our present direct opponents for the 4th spot, and not to underrestimate our team. That said, I think you're right for yourself for your prediction. I predict a good run, a good february, a good march, and we will see ahead then again how we can do.

i just think our small squad will ultimately be our downfall and the ability not to kill off teams.

Unbelievable how people are ignoring the facts laid out before them....over a period of over 20 games so far.

Just goes to show you can lead a horse to water......

Didnt ignore the facts at all, but to assume these facts will continue through to the end of the season is very naive.
In all your examples, you said `we can` catch teams. Its possible of course but i dont think we will. Its called an opinion.
I admire your facts and the dilligence you have put into the original post.
My opinion is based on the top 4 teams are better than us. Bigger squads..more money and top top players.
Liverpool are hitting form now and Sturridge has been the key IMO. They didnt have him when you were basing these facts.
I really hope you are right though !!!
