Moyes "2 Points Dropped"?

I have to disagree with him there, being 3-1 down at one point has to be a point gained??? don't you guys agree??

On paper before the game yes, I would say 2 points dropped, but I think it was a point gained...

    thoughts?

I'll take the middle road and say both.

At the start I would have considered a draw as two dropped...but at the end it was most definately a point salvaged.

In context though, Arsenal and Spurs winning and the $hite drawing means it wasn't good enough.

No, I agree...it'd take a miracle for fourth and I don't think the current squad has the legs for it. We didn't strengthen enough in January and that will likely cost us.

If Moyes says it's 2 points dropped then it's 2 points dropped. The players will feel his wrath this week.

Hopefully inspire us to another big result in our next game.
As for finishing 4th, never say never, no teams can really put a run together. We should concentrate on us and worry about that come the last 5 games or so.

The next 3 months or a little more (Hopefully) is all about the FA Cup for me. I never thought we'd finish 4th....was just hoping against the odds....still am. But for me, everything must go into the FA Cup. Defeat at Oldham in 2 weeks is unthinkable!

6 points from 4 games is a poor return especially as the games were against Southampto, swansea,Villa and west Brom.

The failure to bring a new striker and the way Moyes ruins our good striker may well cost us.

Unless Vic can fulfil his potential.

Yes it was 2 points dropped.  I know we were 3-1, but villa had 4 chances and Howard did not make any saves.  We on the other hand should have had a pen in the first half when benteke pulled back heitinga (from a baines free kick in the first half) - not shown on match of the day but was shown on sky.   Fellaini should have scored 4.  Jelavic should have had one, which saved by the keeper.  Osman had a shot block in the 6 yard box but a villa player.  anichebe should have had 2 goals.  So we at least should have scored 5 (8 good chances).   We had most of the ball - if Villa did not have the start they did, we would have won easily.

Moyes should have put Jags at CB at the start of the 2nd half (not after villa scored there 3rd).

Heitinga cost us 3 points with a poor display.

We need Neville at RB as Gibson is back.  Jags can not play at RB and Heitinga is not playing well.

I still cant see the logic of dropping 2 points when we were losing 3-1????

Bad defending or not, we were losing full stop!  It was a point gained in my view....  And im sure you all agreed the second that Felli scored the equaliser

I must be really stupid  regarding being down 3-1 at one point, or does that not count as a defeat anymore?

3-1 down against a good side fair enough is a good point.  Villa were poor.  Other than the 3 goals + one other chance.  What did they do?

we controlled the game and did all the pressing.

If we had won the game 4-3 everyone would have said well deserved, as we had 64% possession 22 shots (13 on target) & 15 corners.

IT DOES NOT MATTER!!!  We were losing....... It could have been any team in the prem, when you are losing 3-1 in a game, even if they were all 3 own goals and they only had 1 player on the field , we were still losing!

If we hadnt scored what would have happened?

If we hadn't scored, the crowd would have had a good 'boo' at Moyes.

    Oh wait....

Oh yes... your so right lid...  We have come to expect wins and if we dont get them we cry and sulk...  Barca and Madrid are not invincible and neither are we
