Need a new TV...

    Any techy guys point me in the direction of a decent TV around 40 inches for under £500?

    Prefer it has freesat/tv and smart but not essential...

    I got a great 40" Samsung from eBay for £300, I've had it for a couple of years now and it's as good as the day it arrived. It's not a smart version but then everything you can do on a smart tv you can do on a PS3, why waste the money.

    i dont have a ps3... or any other console for that matter...

    samsung 40'' are notorious for packing in within couple years id stay clear...the wrong capacitors were used. expect yours to jack in anyday now Deus... panasonic is best for quality picture...smart tv's aint thta smart had a sony 1 didnt play half my utube playlist and using the internet on it was hopeless....maybe more expensive smart tvs are better than the 1's at 500quid area?

    samsung 40'' are notorious for packing in within couple years id stay clear...the wrong capacitors were used. expect yours to jack in anyday now Deus... panasonic is best for quality picture...smart tv's aint thta smart had a sony 1 didnt play half my utube playlist and using the internet on it was hopeless....maybe more expensive smart tvs are better than the 1's at 500quid area?

    There isn't a huge price difference between a Smart TV and the exact same telly without the Smart features. Well worth spending the extra few bob.

    I've had a samsung 42 for nearly four years and its fine. Must have used the right capacitors in mine. (Fuckinghell)

    i think it was in the 40 inch models only Snowcone... not all go but if you type it into google you'l see forums of people who've had the same breakdown at roughly the same time

    Blasted a hole in our wall into the utility room for our 11yr old Phillips digital tv, to make it look like a flat screen.....

    LG mate...mine was a brave bit more than £500 but there are less expensive ones...picture quality is amazing.
