I THINK WE LET GO OF FAR TOO MANY YOUNGSTERS TO EARLY ! KEEP THEM SIGNED UP TIL 22 ISH AND LOAN THEM OUT ! FOR FULL SEASONS IF HE DOESNT THINK THEY'RE GOOD ENOUGH FOR 1ST TEAM !

WEL I LOVE YOU ! BUT SIMILAR TO THE NEXT POST I WROTE ! IM NOT EXACTLY JIZZING OVER A SKY RATING ! BUT THE FACT HE GOT AN 8 AND NOT A 1 SORT OF MEANS HE DIDNT PLAY TOO BAD AND DIDNT LOOK OUT OF HIS DEPTH ! WHILST I ALSO REALISE IT'S ONLY ONE GAM ALTHOUGH HE IMPRESSED ON HIS SUBSTITUTE APPEARANCE IN THE LAST GAME ! JUST FIGURE WE RELEASE SOME PLAYERS FAR TOO EARLY ! AND MAYBE LOANING FOR FULL SEASON WOULD BE BETTER !

The only problem with that is there's still potentially a cost to the club. Also, what percentage of young players that are loaned out 'for development' ever return to the parent club and have a successful career there? I don't know the answer, but i bet it's relatively few overall.

not  having a go like, just an observation.

FIRSTLY THANKS FOR A CIVILISED REPLY ! WAS THINKING EVERYONE ON HERE IS BRAIN DEAD ! :-)

SURELY ITS A SMALL COST THO ? AT 22 YOU CAN PROBABLY TELL IF THEY'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT ! BUT THINK 19-20-21 THERE'S STILL A CHANCE ! THERE ARE QUITE A FEW PLAYERS THAT GET LOANED OUT NOWADAYS JUST WORRY FOR THE LIKES OF VELLIOS AND DUFFY ! NOT GETTING A CHANCE !

players like welbeck , cleverly , sturridge and quite a few more from the bigger clubs succesfully loan out players and bring them back to become regulars, maybe the academy and the younsters we have are just not good enough and we got to accept were not getting much in the way of talent coming through our academy. about time the club stop spouting off about all these young players prefering to join everton as they will have more chance of making it to the first team, most of the clubs in the premiership put us to shame bringing young players through.

I got loaned to barnet on FIFA n it did me the world of good. There are good kids comin through but keepin such a small squad cos o t £ means we cant hang on to em long enough like some clubs.

Yes, but again, you're talking about a relatively small number of high profile players there. I honestly don't know, but I'd guess that they are the exception rather than the rule and that in the vast majority of cases the reverse is true - I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time!!! ;)

what sums it up is baxter , we actually offered him a contract and he fooooked us off because he knew hes got absolutely no chance of playing under moyes and prefered to take his chance with a lower league club. moyes dont give youth a chance its a fact 10 years and not a lot brought through the ranks
