Why announce anything about it until he was singed, sealed and delivered? Now other clubs will snap him up and he'll be another Demba Ba.

Furthermore, now every man and his dog knows we have at least £8m to burn. Great f*cking work Bill and Moysie. If you're strapped for cash you're supposed to f*cking act like it.

Seriously though, however miserable I may seem, clubs are going to bleed us dry if we sign anyone now (which we have to do if we want to finish top 5).

If a business has not got a plan b,then you can expect disastrous consequences.

Of course BK knew this might happen after plan A failed at KD,DK & more lately GP office extension.

Odie deal failed last mnute so money was there for the Jan window.

Why wait 'till 2 days before window shuts so plan b can't be enforced earlier.

No, he broke a finger nail 2 months ago, Kenwright wont take the risk

I don't blame Moyes for this at all. I think Kenwright has screwed him over big time, announcing this early to boost his ego. We aren't going to get anyone in now. Clubs will bleed us dry for players that aren't worth a third of the fee demanded. I do not blame Moyes at all if he goes this season; I wouldn't want to work under this board.

Kenwrong heard this broke nail was a bent nail & signed it immediately.

The whole saga was a farce, you should not announce the player on your website until its signed, sealed delivered, missing out on Ofoe in the summer was amateurish, this is juvenile, but hey thats Everton

Elstone said in an interview that he was disappointed to have it called off but the fans know he has the best interests of Everton supporters at heart.

Bull. If that was true, we wouldn't know about the deal at all until it was done.

We were probably signing a reasonably talented player but on medical investigation we didn't. Saves me from sitting in Goodison during a miserable performance bemoaning the fact thatFer is injured. So I am trusting the judgement of the Club in this case.

That doesn't mean the club should announce anything until the deal is 100% complete. It's left us in a torrid position now and it's terrible management by the board.

clubs buy players..... they do it with money.

Lots of teams get found out making bids. And when a bid is accepted.... the clubs usually announce it. And they announce it because they know that if they don't.... the agent will.

Medicals get performed for a reason.... last time we did this it was over Mikael Forssell and we were proved right then. So, in all fairness, only a pillock would argue against the position... frustrating as it is.

yes its frustrating but i can't believe some of the whining tarts we have on here. ffs the bloke is potentially massive drain on wages if his knee falls apart after two months, but you clowns would just sign him anyway. then when you don't get your own way, you cry like little bitches. **** diddums.

There are always rumours over who clubs are monitoring and the fees involved in transfers. That's inevitable.

That being said, did you know we had scouted Fer before all of this? Until 3 days ago, did you even know his name?

There is no reason that anyone should have known anything about this transfer until it was completely finished and it is just childishness by the board that they decided to put it out into the open.

Yes...it is unfortunate that the lad had an injury..However...I agree with Dick...It was shabbily done ...and they should have kept their gobs shut until he was signed...Now everyone knows our spending power...Imensely amateur
