    It was posted on our website that a deal had been struck for Leroy Fer...meaning that a price had been agreed. That doesn't mean that he is going to be signed...that all depends on the medical and personal terms....We know that Moysie has been after this lad for a while...we all want this to go through...but.....If the medical staff have found something then any transfer must be negotiated on the terms of what has been found..and FC Twente know that...so the club are doing what is right and proper........Lets hope we can sort this out and get the lad.....But.....we only have to look at the Mirralas and Gibson injuries to understand the risk. Do we really want to take it?

    Everyone knew about his injury last year, its not like its a suprise, so why this wasnt included in any agreed deal before is beyond me. He's been back playing for ages now and playing well too. I remember same concern with Demba Ba before he signed for West Ham and we missed out there too. Very frustrating being an Everton fan, nothing is ever straight forward!

    There's a reason why FC Twente were willing to sell, and there's a reason why they are refusing to amend the pay structure of the deal to be based on number of appearances, coz theyre probably in agreement he wont play the majority of games each season.
    We got our fingers burned with the Mirallas deal although luckily it was only circa 5 mill, glad to see the club learning its lesson for once.

    Until the club has been able to take a look themselves, how on earth are they supposed to form a view on the injury?

    As for being back for ages - he returned from injury on 18 October when he came on as a late sub.  Since then he came on again as a sub, and then made three appearances in which he was subbed (admittedly very late in one of those games).

    We're talking about a very talented player who has recently had an injury but is returning to full fitness.  So, he is not a fully fit player who is playing 90 minutes week in and week out.

    The club is quite right to be cautious.

    Best be sorted either way before tonights game.The atmosphere has dropped off lately... doesnt bear thinking about.

    Yeah....I don't know whats going on with the lads....they have looked clueless and jaded just lately...and I'm really worried that Moysie doesn't seem to be able to lift them....I think this game tonight will really tell us what's what. If the can't beat this lot then we are in real trouble.
